Hi 👋, I’m Waylon — I hold a PhD in Machine Learning, and I’m an occasional Kaggler. I currently work on a large-scale physiological signal foundation model at Xiaomi’s wearables division.

Instead of training task-specific models, I want to build a general-purpose backbone for physiological signals that works across devices and populations. It could support early disease risk prediction and long-term health modeling.

I also follow progress in physiological signal and tabular foundation models, especially the TabPFN series, and tinker with engineering tools for AI agents through projects like AutoResearch.

This site is where I jot things down as they come — sometimes a technical write-up, sometimes a project retrospective, or just something I learned recently.
